TRUMAN CAPOTE'S "THE THANKSGIVING VISITOR" - 1967 TV MOVIE & SHORT STORY- THE HORROR!!

Geraldine Page won her 2nd Emmy for her performance in this obscure 1967 TV-movie. Many of you film enthusiasts will also recognize the young boy in this from his scene in The Swimmer where he sells lemonade to Burt Lancaster at the empty pool stop. Truman Copote wrote and narrates this simple family tale with a big message on the wrongness of bullying. Very hard to find, You Tube below is not the greatest transfer but watchable.....The Horror!!

" The Thanksgiving Visitor" is a short story by Truman Capote originally published in the November 1967 issue of magazine, and later published as a book by Random House, Inc. in 1968. The story takes the form of a childhood tale about a boy and his bully problem.
