JAMES CAAN IS BEING WATCHED INSIDE HIS HOUSE BY "THE GOOD NEIGHBOR" - OR IS HE?...THE HORROR!

In an almost completely unspoken role, James Caan plays a mean old introverted man not exactly loved by others on his street. Two teens across the street decide to rig up his house hi-tech and see if they can drive him nuts or convince him the house is haunted. The production design is very clever with the gadgets and in whole this film is a unique and effective thriller. The very end is a bit of a let-down and it reeks of sequel set-up, and this film just might get it....The Horror!! Pinewoods Rating System - Three Pinewoods

Film Review: 'The Good Neighbor'

Two suburban teenagers use surveillance equipment to torment a disliked elderly neighbor in the suspense drama "The Good Neighbor" (originally titled "The Waiting"). This debut feature for director Kasra Farahani and scenarists Mark Bianculli and Jeff Richard holds interest, though it's ultimately more depressing than tense or shocking.

'The Good Neighbor' is a captivating mystery disguised as a horror movie

The Good Neighbor could also be titled When Scaring Someone Goes Wrong. Built on a familiar premise, the new feature from Kasra Farahani finds a way to blend heart, humor, and mystery in a way that is utterly compelling from beginning to end.
