There's not much middle ground when it comes to theme parks -- either you operate a magical and amazing facility that children will stab each other to get a ticket for, or you wind up with a sad, rusted-out Christmas Wonderland where Santa is a drunk and the reindeer are goats.

RUTGER HAUER IS ORGANIZING A REVOLT IN "ESCAPE FROM SOBIBOR"! - 1987 MADE-FOR-TV.....HORROR!!

Greetings all, got this one the other day for $1 in a pawn shop, one of those cheap dvd's that come in a folder. Fortunately what was on the inside worked out pretty nicely. Not big on WWII stuff but this is an excellently produced and directed British made-for-tv movie that I would recommend to anyone who like prison escape films in general. Rutger Hauer and Alan Arkin are both on target as well. Using my Pinewoods Rating System and grading as a regular entry, I give this one a worthy Three Pinewoods....The Horror!!

TV REVIEW; DOES THE HOLOCAUST DEFY DRAMATIZATION

LEAD: IT'S DIFFICULT FOR A TELEVISION dramatization to come to grips with the Holocaust. Documentaries are better equipped. A dramatization, no matter how thoughtfully done, is still make-believe. A documentary need only show us, say, a pile of children's shoes. We feel a terrible sorrow then; the unimaginable has been expressed.

THE HORROR!!
