DANNY GLOVER & JERED LETO ARE TRYING TO MAKE IT THRU THE "SWITCHBACK" IN 1997 WHO DUN IT HORROR

Dogged by the critics and a monumental bomb at the box office, it probably comes as no surprise that we dig it here at THOH. The disjointed plot and resulting corn-fusion is probably what killed this picture single handedly but much if not all of the rest is quite enjoyable. Locations are awesome, the casting is unique and the third act has a suspenseful train sequence. A solid late-'90's crime thriller, Switchback get Three Solid Pinewoods.....The Horror!!

"SwitchBack'' is not a good movie, but it does an admirable job of distracting us from how bad it is. If they'd thrown out the two leading characters and started all over with the locations, the lore and the supporting actors, they might have had something here.

FILM REVIEW; A Serial Killer Who Just Seems So Darned Nice

Say all you want about the visceral thrills of action-adventure films set in outer space, but for gripping down-to-the-wire excitement, you still can't beat the imagistic force of grappling opponents on a train speeding over a gorge with a tunnel around the bend.
