WOODY ALLEN WAKES UP IN A TIN FOIL WRAPPER 200 YEARS IN THE FUTURE IN THIS 1973 SCI COM HORROR!

As much as I love Annie Hall, there are at least three Allen films I like better and this is one of them, along with Love & Death and Broadway Danny Rose. Absolutely brilliant in every regard and that includes the music, one of the best in his canon of work. A long-time favorite of both Ed and myself, the ole Sleeper gets a rating of Four Very Tall Pinewoods....The Horror!!

Sleeper Movie Review & Film Summary (1973) | Roger Ebert

So how would you feel if your name was Miles Monroe and you ran the Happy Carrot Health Food Store in Greenwich Village and you went into St. Vincent's Hospital for a minor operation one morning and woke up two hundred years in the future? And America had become a police state?

Bananas (1971) & Sleeper (1973) & Love and Death (1975)

Comedian-turned-filmmaker Woody Allen's first full-fledged directorial effort was the lighthearted crime satire Take the Money and Run (1969), which underwent massive surgery during postproduction but ended up being brisk, charming, and funny-a learning experience for Allen, an enjoyable viewing experience for everyone else.

THE HORROR!!
